Coup Pour Coup 31, an anti-imperialist collective based in Toulouse, France, created a street art mural in Toulouse to honor and celebrate Abu Ali Mustafa on the fourteenth anniversary of his assassination by Israeli occupation forces. The text, “Les révolutionnaires ne meurent jamais!” translates to “Revolutionaries never die!”
Coup Pour Coup is deeply involved in Palestine solidarity organizing, as well as organizing to free Arab political prisoner for the Palestinian cause, Georges Ibrahim Abdallah, from French prisons. They issued the following statement on the 14th anniversary of the assassination of Abu Ali Mustafa (below, in English and French)
On 27 August 2001, Abu Ali Mustafa (orignal name Mustafa al-Zibri) was assassinated by the Israeli armed forces.
Born in 1938 in the village of Arraba, near Jenin in Palestine, Abu Ali lived most of his adult life in exile. After the confrontation with the Jordanian army in the battles of Black September (1970), Abu Ali Mustafa moved to direct the operations of the PFLP in Lebanon. In 1982, after the Israeli invasion of Lebanon, he left the country with many Palestinian resistance leaders and fighters and settled in Syria. From 1987 to 1991 he was a member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO).
In September 1999, after 32 years of exile, he returned to the West Bank thanks to an agreement between the PLO and Zionist authorities. In July 2000 he was elected General Secretary of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). On August 27, 2001, he was killed by two missiles from an Israeli helicopter aimed at his office window, exploding it.
The PFLP gave the name to its armed wing, the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, to honor him. The PFLP avenged the death of its leader by killing the racist Israeli minister, Rehavam Ze’evi, October 17, 2001.

Le 27 aout 2001, Abu Ali Mustafa (de son vrai nom Mustafa Zibri) fut assassiné par les forces armées israéliennes.
Né en 1938 dans le village d’Arraba, près de Jénine en Palestine, Abu Ali a vécu la plus grande partie de sa vie d’adulte en exil. Après la confrontation avec l’armée jordanienne dans les batailles de Septembre Noir (1970), Abu Ali Mustapha déménage pour diriger les opérations du Liban. En 1982, après l’invasion israélienne du Liban, il quitte ce pays avec de nombreux résistants palestiniens et s’installe en Syrie. De 1987 à 1991, il a été membre du Comité exécutif de l’ Organisation de Libération de la Palestine (OLP).
En septembre 1999, après 32 ans d’exil, il retourne en Cisjordanie grace à un accord entre l’OLP et les autorités sionistes. En juillet 2000, il est élu secrétaire général du Front Populaire de Libération de la Palestine (FPLP). Le 27 août 2001, deux missiles d’un hélicoptère israélien qui visaient son bureau le tue dans l’explosion.
Le FPLP donna son nom à sa branche armée, les Brigages Abu Ali Mustafa, pour lui rendre hommage. Le FPLP vengea la mort de son leader en assassinant le ministre raciste israélien, Rehavam Ze’evi le 17 octobre 2001.
